Nothing was the same at The Phoenix Pharmacy and Fountain on the evening of April 17. Multiple people were denied entry, and those who were allowed inside took their seats on the floor rather than in chairs.

Heck, even the menu was different, featuring items with peculiar names familiar to only a few exclusive customers.

"People kept peering in wondering what was going on here," said Kayln Denniston. "There was music set up ... Everyone was experiencing this while seeing the ice cream shop. It was a place people never thought they would see music before"

The concert was hosted by Sofar Sounds, a company that recently added Knoxville to the list of more than 400 cities around the world where it hosts secret shows in unconventional venues.
