Hand, foot and mouth disease returns to with summer's end
As toddlers and children make their way into schools and daycares, hand, foot and mouth disease is starting to creep up again and, as such, has made its way into social media.
However, according to the East Tennessee Children's Hospital, the number of cases is actually lower than the same time frame for each of past two years.
Hand, foot and mouth disease is a viral illness that typically affects children, although adults can contract it as well, according to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
