Nokian Tyres to bring 400 full-time jobs to Dayton
Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Dayton.
Nokian Tyres is in the process of building a Tennessee factory.
The Rhea County factory will employ 400 full-time employees once the production mode begins, bringing $180 million to the local economy.
Currently, Nokian Tyres is in the construction stage. They plan to begin producing tires in 2020.
Channel 3 has learned the plant will have three phases. Once it is complete, there will be a production floor, an administration building and a warehouse.
Tires produced at this plant will be sold only in North America for passenger and SUV vehicles. Annually, 4 million tires will be produced.
Its warehouse will be able to hold 600,000 tires.
