UPDATE: Channel 3 has learned the 9-year-old girl shot Sunday is going to be okay, but she is in critical condition.

Chattanooga police said Monday that she was shot in the stomach.

Police are not sure of the exact reason behind the shooting, but say there was an ongoing argument between 20-30 people who all knew each other.

Unfortunately, sometime after that, a child was shot by a stray bullet.

There’s no suspect in custody. Police are hoping the community can help change that.
