UPDATE: The man killed in a crash on Suck Creek Road has been identified.

John A. Redman, 53, of Marion County lost his life in the head-on collision early Saturday. Two others were hurt in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

PREVIOUS STORY:  One person was killed in a head-on crash Saturday morning.

The crash happened in the 2100 block of  Suck Creek Road around 8:45 am Saturday.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office explained that a Kia Sedona mini-van and a Hyundai Elantra collided after the Elantra crossed the center line while traveling through a curve. The Elantra hit the Sedona, ran off the road and hit a fence before finally coming to a stop.

The male driver of the Elantra died at the scene. A female passenger was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. 

The driver of the Sedona was also taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Suck Creek road was closed for a while during the investigation but has since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
