Familiar faces at Channel 3 move to new places for mornings
Starting Monday, you will see some familiar Channel 3 faces in some different places.
Reporter Tim Pham, usually seen in the field on breaking news each morning, will move inside to the anchor desk for Eyewitness News Early Today starting at 4:30am on weekdays.
Pham will continue to report on the news in the Tennessee Valley along with his new morning anchor role.
Anchor Michelle Heron, known for her breaking news stories and morning presence, will move to the Eyewitness News Weekend Today anchor desk.
There, on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Heron will share the news of the day, with an eye toward the news that will shape your weekend.
Channel 3 News Director Callie Starnes announced the move earlier this month.
"Tim and Michelle are both tremendous journalists who have quickly connected with our community both on-air and off,” said Starnes. “I’m thrilled to see them expand into these new roles and continue offering coverage viewers can truly depend on.”
Pham moves to the anchor desk July 23. Heron begins her new role July 28.
