UGA star Jake Fromm breaks non-throwing hand
CHATTANOOGA - University of Georgia starting quarterback Jake Fromm has a small fracture in his left hand, as first reported by UGASports.com on Wednesday. Fromm apparently suffered the injury in a freak boating accident in northeast Georgia on Lake Burton on Monday.
Head Coach Kirby Smart has since said his QB won't miss any summer workouts and has already resumed throwing.
During Fromm's freshman season, he lead the Bulldogs to an SEC Championship and a spot in the College Football Playoff, where they eventually lost in the College Football Playoff National Championship game to Alabama.
If, for whatever reason, this injury spills into the 2018 season. UGA has five-star quarterback Justin Fields coming in to camp as a true freshman. Fields has been rated by multiple recruiting sites as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2018 signing class.
