Good Thursday. Expect some scattered thunderstorms again this morning through the afternoon and evening hours.  More heavy rain, lightning, and damaging winds are the biggest threat. There is also a small risk of small hail. Today's high will reach 85,

Friday and Saturday high pressure will build in hindering thunderstorm development. Still, I will put us at a 10% chance for one or two storms to break through. The main feature of both days, however, will be heat and humidity with highs in the low 90s, and heat index values in the mid to upper 90s.

Sunday low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico will spin in some showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. We will manage a high of 90.

Next week we will settle into a pattern of highs near 90, muggy afternoons, and a few isolated afternoon storms.
