UPDATE: Chattanooga police officer's DUI case dismissed, resigned from department
A judge dismissed Trumbo's case on August 16.
UPDATE: A Chattanooga Police Officer had his driving under the influence case dismissed.
Michael Allen Trumbo, 28, was arrested in August 2017 and charged with driving under the influence.
He was involved in a crash shortly after 5:00am as he attempted to merge onto US-27 from MLK Boulevard. Trumbo missing the ramp and ended up in one of the construction areas and went down a small embankment, according to the arrest report.
He was not injured in the crash.
Trumbo submitted to a field sobriety test and failed most of it. An alcohol breath test was taken at the jail and resulted in Trumbo's 0.144 BAC level.
A judge dismissed Trumbo's case on August 16. Trumbo submitted his resignation from the Chattanooga police department on August 20.
