The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a duplex fire early Thursday morning at 6818 Sunalay Lane.

The fire broke out just after 6:00 a.m.

Officials say the fire was located in the "A" side of the duplex. Firefighters with four fire companies managed to contain the fire to a bedroom, but the rest of the apartment had significant smoke and water damage.

The "B" side of the duplex was saved. No injuries were reported in the fire.

Two adults were displaced in the fire on the "A" side of the duplex.

Officials say the dollar loss from the fire is estimated at $50,000.

The cause of fire is currently under investigation.
