WATCH NOW: Fallen Five mural timelapse
Bate used a timelapse camera to capture the images over a nearly one-year timeframe.
A mural honoring the Fallen Five was completed in time for the one-year anniversary. The five faces of Chattanooga's heroes were painted on the 40-foot wall along McCallie Avenue.
The project was entirely was donated. The artist, Kevin Bate gave his time, and the paint and wall space were donated as well.
The memorial mural painted for the five men who gave their lives for Chattanooga and their country on July 16, 2015 were Carson Holmquist, Randall Smith, Tommy Sullivan, Skip Wells and David Wyatt.
Thursday, Bate released a video that shows one year of painting compressed into just over two minutes.
Bate used a timelapse camera to capture the images, and Bo Wheeler at WTCI edited the clips together and Graham Courter created the music.
