There's no rain in sight for several days as an area of high pressure remains over the Tennessee Valley. This means fair skies and above-normal heat continue.
Look for highs in the lower to middle 90s through Saturday (several degrees above the normal of 86°-87°) with a slight cool down Sunday-Tuesday. Lows will be in the warm upper 60s to 70°.
Humidity creeps up, and a weak cold front might bring a few spotty showers Saturday night and Sunday, but no beneficial rain to make a dent in the drought.
