A Soddy Daisy family is still looking for answers, nearly a month after a young mother was found dead inside a Sequatchie County trailer.

It's been three weeks since Brittany Fritts Weathers' funeral, but her family tells Channel 3 they still have no idea how she died.

Chastity Dennis said her sister's death remains a mystery.

"I'm angry that we haven't heard anything. I'm angry that no one reaches out to us. We just don't know what's going on," Dennis said. "I mean, Brittany deserves to have some justice."

Weathers, a mother of two from Soddy Daisy, was found dead in Whitwell on August 6th. Her body was discovered on the floor of the trailer she shared with her boyfriend on Higdon Road.

Investigators said she had signs of head trauma. Her family wonders how her injuries could have been serious enough to kill her.

"Regardless if it was something that was an accidental situation, or it wasn't accidental, we're at peace," said Dennis. "Brittany is in a better place. We know she's not hurting anymore, and that she's O.K. We just need to know what happened."

Weathers' family said they've reached out to investigators with the TBI and Sequatchie County, desperate for answers.

A spokesperson for the Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office said details are limited; the investigation is ongoing.

Dennis said they're hopeful the truth comes to light soon.

"We know nothing's going to bring her back," she said. "But we need some kind of closure, as to why she was taken away from us so early in life."

Investigators are still looking into Weathers' death.

SCSO detectives are waiting on complete autopsy results to come back, which could be a few more weeks.
