The Grundy County Sheriff's office seized nearly $50,000 dollars in marijuana plants in Altamont.

Deputies found 22 jars of marijuana and 11 pot plants at a residence on Highway 50 on Monday.

Officials say the plants were four to six feet tall, and could contain as much as six ounces of marijuana per plant. They estimate the total cost to be $48,000 dollars for both the jar and plants.

Deputies say the marijuana belongs to 59-year-old Camberly Keatts. She is scheduled to appear before a grand jury in November.
