A contract worker is being treated at a Knoxville hospital following an injury at Waupaca Foundry in Etowah.

Channel 3 has confirmed first responders were called to the facility on Waupaca Drive Thursday night in response to an accident involving the worker.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital in Knoxville where he is listed in stable condition.

Channel 3 has reached out to Waupaca for additional information about the man’s injuries and how they happened.
The company produces iron castings for vehicles and machinery.
