CFC wins 3-0 over New Orleans in final home game before playoffs
Chattanooga shutout New Orleans 3-0 Saturday night, making it clear they are not close to being done yet.
In their final home game of the regular season Saturday night, the Chattanooga Football Club did not disappoint. Even though the CFC has already claimed the conference regular season title and host spot for next weekend's Southeastern Conference playoffs, Chattanooga shutout New Orleans 3-0, making it very clear they are not close to being done yet.
Saturday was CFC fan appreciation night at Finley Stadium, as a season high 5,326 fans filled the stands. Even Louie the Lookout made it all the way from AT& Field to support his favorite soccer team.
It wasn't until the twenty-sixth minute mark that a CFC pass would cross through the center of the field, just in time for Kieran Bywater to kick it into the top right corner of the net for Chattanooga's first goal of the game.
CFC led 1-0 over the Jesters going into halftime. Chattanooga forward Will Roberts had an incredible second half, scoring two goals to ultimately give them the 3-0 win.
CFC heads to Knoxville Tuesday for the final regular season game, and then will be back at Finley Stadium Friday at 7:30 for the first round of conference playoffs.
