The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation  agents are investigating the circumstances surrounding an inmate death in Bledsoe County. 

TBI officials identified the inmate as Christopher Axmacher, 33, he was discovered by authorities unresponsive in his cell. Jail personnel attempted to resuscitate Axmacher and notified 911. 

EMS rushed Axmacher to a local hospital where medical staff pronounced him deceased. 

TBI says an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
