An arrest today by Bradley County Sheriff's deputies solved two major burglaries. 

Friday, deputies were called to residence on Hensley Road.  Deputies say a witness saw a man load several boxes and other times into the back of a a red Chevrolet SUV at a house across the street.  The witness told deputies he caught the entire thing on his cellphone.  

Deputies went to the other house and saw what looked as if someone had dragged a large object through tall grass.  The trail to an outbuilding. The deputies contacted the property owner, who discovered approximately $20,000.00 worth of farm equipment and personal collectibles missing. 

Saturday. deputies went back out to Hensley Road and saw the suspect vehicle.  The deputies checked out the SUV and saw several items that were confirmed stolen. 

The driver of the SUV, Ronald Preston Phillips was arrested and taken to the Bradley County jail. Phillips faces burglary and theft charges, other charges are pending.
