Emergency crews rescue a person who fell off a bluff on Signal Mountain.

Hamilton County dispatch tells Channel 3 the call came in just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday of a high fall located at 1425 East Brow Road.

When Walden's Ridge Emergency Services got to the scene, they reported a 25 year old male had fallen 30 feet off the side of Signal Mountain and requested mutual aid for additional rescue personnel.

According to Walden's Ridge Emergency Services Chief, Jimmy Hillis, the man and his girlfriend were going up East Brow Road and stopped on the side of the road to take a look. The male slipped and fell off the side of the mountain. Rescue personnel extricated the patient within 45 minutes and was treated on the scene by Hamilton County EMS.

The male reported the heavy piles of leaves and brush cushioned his fall and said he did not need to go to the hospital.
