Pharmacy employee arrested for stealing meds

A Food City pharmacy employee is facing theft charges for taking medication from the pharmacy she worked in.
Red Bank Police were called to the Food City on Dayton Boulevard on Wednesday morning on a theft call.
According to a police report, the security manager detained an employee who admitted to taking prescription medication from the pharmacy.
Rebecca Blanks, 24, admitted to taking several pills earlier in the day and placing them in her purse. Blanks gave officers permission to retrieve the pills. Officers located 22 pills in Blanks’ bag.
Blanks is charged with theft under $500 and released from the Hamilton County Jail on bond.
