The victim, a pregnant woman, was shot in the stomach and is said to be in emergency surgery at Erlanger.
UPDATE: The victim, a pregnant woman, was shot in the stomach and is said to be in emergency surgery at Erlanger. Friends tell Channel 3 that the woman is in her third trimester of pregnancy.
One of the suspect vehicles has been found at Erlanger with bullet holes and blood stains on the outside of the vehicle. The area around the vehicle has been cordoned off as police search for the suspect and gather evidence.
Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher has scheduled a 3:00pm news conference to talk about the police response to the rash of shootings.
The shooting took place Tuesday morning in College Hill Courts. The shooting marks the city's eighth shooting since Saturday.

Another pregnant woman was shot Monday night in Chattanooga. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with that shooting.

PREVIOUS STORY: Witness tell Channel 3 that the pregnant woman who was shot Tuesday morning at 1221 Grove Street in College Hill Courts appeared to be in her third trimester of pregnancy.
Police say the woman has been seriously injured and has been transported to a nearby hospital for examination and treatment.
The suspect is described as a black male driving a tan SUV.
Channel 3 has a crew enroute to the scene and will update this developing story.
