The Chattanooga Lookouts held their 2016 Media Day Tuesday, and as they gear up for the new season, the AA Twins affiliate has their sights set on just one goal: taking home another Southern League Championship.

The Lookouts lost some key players to the big leagues last season, but they return 19 players from last year's championship team.

"What we try to stress is that it doesn't matter who we have or who they give us we're going to try to win anyways" says Manager Doug Mienkiewicz. "I've been fortunate to have these guys, the same core guys, for a couple years now and they've bought into it doesn't matter who's on the field we expect to win. It's a mindset and these guys have it."

Mienkiewicz and staff won't have to rely on just last year's talent. There's also a mix of experienced new faces.

"We've brought in some good hitters, and brought in some big power hitters" says Lookouts returning pitcher Jason Wheeler. "We have a really good pitching staff and a lot of the players have AA playing time whether it was last year or a couple years ago. We're going to compete and hopefully its for another championship."

The road to back to back titles will start Thursday in Biloxi against the Shuckers.
