Rhea Co. woman indicted for child abuse and giving drugs to child
A Rhea County woman is facing multiple child abuse and drug charges.
Thirty-seven-year-old Amy Sneed was indicted by a Grand Jury on December 1st for a child abuse case reported in October.
Rhea County Sheriff's Office investigators say Sneed is accused of injuring a seven-year-old boy she was babysitting.
Investigators say the boy received numerous injuries and bruises to his bottom and genitals and had to be treated at an area hospital.
They also say the boy tested positive for controlled substances.
Sneed is facing three felony counts of aggravated child abuse and two felony counts of delivering a controlled substance to a minor.
Sneed has since bonded out of jail on a $15,000 bond. She will be arraigned in court December 11th.
