Two weeks after President Barack Obama visited Chattanooga, we're learning how much it cost the Chattanooga Police Department to provide security.

In reply to an open records request, the Chattanooga Police Department released the results of the manpower and cost to the department for the July visit.

The data shows 126 officers, who were already scheduled to work that day, were assigned to detail. An additional 20 officers provided additional coverage.

It cost the City of Chattanooga $21, 269.22 to provide 146 officers to President Obama's detail.

Local, state, and federal authorities worked together to provide security at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport and at Amazon, where President Obama made his remarks.
