Steve Bartoo named principal of Dalton High School
DALTON, GA (WRCB)- The Dalton Board of Education selected Steve Bartoo as the new principal for Dalton High School Monday night. He succeeds Debbie Freeman, who is retiring in June after seven years as principal.
Bartoo is currently the school's associate principal and has been with Dalton High for 22 years. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in special education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a specialist's degree in educational leadership from Berry College. During his career he has been a teacher, department chair, football, wrestling, swimming, and baseball coach. He has been the associate principal for the past three years.
