(WRCB) - Police may soon be able to ticket speeders, without pulling them over.

It's a new radar already being used in three Tennessee towns.

It's similar to a red light camera, and starts the ticketing process without the driver even knowing it.

It usually takes about two weeks for the ticket to reach the driver's mailbox.

Supporters say it increases safety on the roads. But opponents challenge that, saying it does nothing to slow speedy drivers.
