WHITFIELD COUNTY, GA (WRCB) - A company is coming to Whitfield County that will turn carpet plastic waste into high-grade synthetic crude oil.

Clean Energy Conversions wants to build a facility at the Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority landfill.

The landfill has separated carpet waste from other trash for a long time now. The company has presented the landfill with a letter of intent.

It will look for another location if an agreement isn't reached.

The project will create 20 jobs by January 2013.

Work on the facility is expected to begin this summer.
