Two teens sought in Wedgewood robbery
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga police are looking for two teenagers, accused of robbing a laundromat Friday evening.
Police Sergeant Jerri Weary says the robbery happened shortly before 6:00 p.m. at Wedgewood Cleaners on Wilcox Boulevard.
The owner told police the two suspects, believed to between 14 and 17 years old, asked only a few questions during their first visit around 5:30 p.m.
They came back minutes later with a gun. Weary says one of the suspects fired a shot, before demanding the money from the register.
Both suspects fled the business, cash in hand, toward the Wilcox tunnels.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
Weary says the suspects were dressed in black hooded sweatshirts and black pants.
