Cleveland business owner charged with sexual battery
CLEVELAND, BRADLEY COUNTY (WRCB) – A Cleveland business owner has been arrested on charges of sexual battery against an employee.
Police say Randal Scott Prather was arrested at his business on Georgetown Road on Friday.
Investigators tell Channel 3 Eyewitness News that a female employee alleged that Prather offered her an extra $200 in her paycheck in exchange for sexual favors in June.
The victim tells officers after she refused, Prather assaulted her and held her against her will when she attempted to quit.
Police say she was eventually able to leave the business and called police.
Prather has been charged with sexual battery, extortion and false imprisonment.
