CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Three suspects are behind bars following a Monday morning shooting on Spears Avenue.

Police say 18-year-old Adrian Turner was shot around midnight Monday after a vehicle pulled up to the Spears Street residence.

Investigators tell Eyewitness News, a person inside the car called to Turner and as he approached the vehicle, he was shot him three times in the chest.

The suspects then drove off.

Turner was taken to the hospital where he was immediately taken into surgery.

His current condition is unknown.

Chattanooga Police Sergeant Jerri Weary says three men were arrested Monday just before noon.

Both 19-year-old Teairre Moore and a 17-year-old juvenile face attempted first degree murder charges in with the shooting. A third suspect, 18-year-old Germaine Favors, was also arrested for giving false statements to police.

Police say Turner was involved in an argument Sunday over money and officers believe that the shooting may be the result of that dispute.

All three suspects are currently being booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
