DALTON, GA. (WRCB)-- A dispute in the parking lot of a Dalton gas station leads to gunfire and one arrest.

Police say 21-year-old Jermaine Eric Burse was in an argument with a group of men Sunday just before midnight.

As he was leaving the scene, he fired a shot at the group.

A nearby officer heard the commotion and went to check on the scene. When he arrived, multiple witnesses said that Burse fired the shot.

During a search of the car driven by Burse, police found a gun and an empty shell casing.

Burse was arrest and charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, criminal trespass, pointing or aiming a gun at another, and discharging a gun near a public street or highway.
