James E. White, MD, FACS

James E. White, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an experienced General/vascular surgeon in the Chattanooga-Cleveland area. Dr. White has 18 years of surgical experience. He is one of a few physician in Middle Tennessee trained in the technique of EVLT endovenous laser therapy for varicose veins. He is a diplomat and board certified by the American Board of Phlebology. His office staff at Advanced Surgical Concepts, PLLC have been active in endovenous laser therapy in the treatment for severe varicose veins for more than 6 years. As of June 2008 we have completed over 800 Endovenous Laser Treatments for varicose veins and over 2,000 advanced sclerotherapy injection procedures. Dr. White graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia in 1990. He complet ed a General surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1996. He is board certified in General Surgery by the prestigious American Board of Surgery and is a full Fellow of the American College of Surgery. Dr. White also holds an undergraduate degree in Radiologic Technology from the Medical College of Georgia , which he received in 1979. His vast experience with x-ray and ultrasound allowed him to pursue advanced training in phlebology [the study of veins] with an emphasis on the use of EVLT laser closure and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy in the non-surgical treatment of vein diseases. Dr. White is a diplomat of the American Board of Phlebology.

On a personal note, Dr. White and his wife Casi are member of Candies Creek Baptist Church of Cleveland, TN. Dr. White is a [14-year] veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve as a Lt. Col. He has lived with his wife Casi in Cleveland, Tennessee since 1998. He and Casi have two sons, Cole and Carson.
