ONLY ON 3: Families, friends hold vigil for two people killed in hit & run crash
Family and friends gathered on the side of the road Friday night with balloons and candles to remember the lives of Lorenzo Jarrett Jr. and Mechele Lane.
The two died in a hit and run car crash just over a week ago.
“I knew he was loved! Trust me I know,” Jarrett Jr.'s sister, Satasha Jarrett Bell, said looking at the crowd. "But I didn't know he had this much love."
Jarrett Jr. leaves behind six kids.
"He was the best dad I could ever ask for," his daughter, Asziauna Berry, said.
"He's looking down on all of us,” said Satasha. “He's going to be our angel. He's going to be our angel."
Lane was in the car with Jarrett Jr., and didn't survive the crash.
Police are still looking for the driver of the car who hit them and drove away.

"I feel like they don't care. They took our brother but they're still on the run,” Satasha said emotionally. “They don't care. That's the hurting part."
The family holds each other close. There are tears and memories they wish they could still make with Jarrett Jr.
"Proms, graduation, father-daughter dance, all that," said his sister, Lakisha Collier.
But they know he will stay in their hearts, and they are trying to let go of the negative thoughts and never lose sight of his shining personality.
"We're going to smile because we all know he wanted us to smile," said Asziauna.
“We all know this is what he want us to do, so this is what we're going to do," echoed Satasha.
Police are still looking for the driver they believe hit and killed Mechele Lane and Lorenzo Jarrett Jr.
Police released the name of the man they believe to be the driver. They identify him as 26-year-old Dwight Turner Jr.
Turner is 5'11" tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
