Sources confirmed to Ch. 3 Sports Director Paul Shahen that new Chattanooga Mocs head football coach Rusty Wright is hiring former UTC All-American QB Jacob Huesman to coach the Tight Ends.

Huesman graduated in 2015. He was the first player in Southern Conference history to be named player of the year three times.

One source said Jacob can bring to the table what a young Will Healy brought to the table when Russ Huesman first hired him at UTC. Healy was one of UTC's top recruiters before leaving to turn around Austin Peay's football program. Healy just took over the Charlotte Head Football position.

Huesman was previously an assistant at Georgia State. New Mocs football coach Rusty Wright was also at Georgia State coaching linebackers. Wright was on Russ Huesman's UTC staff as the linebackers coach and special teams coach when Jacob played at UTC.
