Dalton police are looking for a suspected thief who was caught on camera stealing jewelry on Tuesday.

It happened around 2:00 pm at Hobby Lobby on East Walnut Avenue.

DPD spokesperson Bruce Frazier says the white male suspect spent several minutes trying to remove items from a jewelry display.

Frazier says the suspect finally took the rack hangers from the display and left the store, getting away with about $220 worth of rings, earrings, and necklaces.

The suspect was wearing a camouflage baseball hat, dark shirt and a gray jacket at the time of the incident.
