UPDATE: Haley Brandenburg has been found near Atlanta in Henry County, Georgia.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said she is safe, and the suspect, Robert Garren, is in custody.

A Henry County police officer spotted Brandenburg and Garren walking along I-75 southbound south of Atlanta, according to a spokesperson for the department.

The officer approached the two and learned that Brandenburg was missing.

The spokesperson said that law enforcement officials from Tennessee are headed to Henry County to interview both Brandenburg and Garren.

The AMBER Alert has been canceled.

PREVIOUS STORY: A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on behalf of the Rockwood Police Department for 17-year-old Haley Nicole Brandenburg.

She is believed to be in the company of Robert Andrew Garren. 

The beige 2006 Honda Odyssey van the two were traveling in was found abandoned in a parking lot in Chattanooga near Riverfront Parkway and West MLK Boulevard. 

The TBI said they believe the pair is likely in Hamilton County. 

According to the Rhea County Sheriff's Office, Garren is from Rhea County, and authorities there are keeping an eye out for Garren and Brandenburg. His grandmother still lives there.

Garren's mother lives in McMinn County, according to Sheriff Joe Guy. He said the McMinn County Sheriff's Office assisted the TBI with a visit to her home, but Garren has not been there since before the abduction.

Brandenburg has a medical condition and does not have access to her medication.

She was last seen in Rockwood wearing tan Adidas pants with a pink stripe down the side and a green Subway shirt. She wears glasses and has braces.
