CHATSWORTH, Tn. - Big Region 6-AAA implications were on the line in Murray County tonight, as the Mountaineers hosted LFO. The Warriors haven't beaten North Murray since 2012.

It was cold, wet and more cold for senior night at North Murray. After an attempted opening, onside kick, the Warriors scored on their opening drive. Nathan Williams took it in from inside the 2-yd line.

Jacob King intercepted a Preston Poag Jr. pass and the Warriors cashed in on the ensuing drive as Jacob Brown scored on 4th and goal.

The Mountaineers would respond when Poah Jr. got North Murray on the board with a quarterback keeper. A North Murray field goal before the half, cut the LFO lead to three.

The Warriors seemed poised to run away with it, but two fumbles in the red zone kept North Murray in it.

LFO's defense kept the Mountaineers off the score sheet in the second half and Brown scored his 2nd touchdown of the night to put LFO up 19-9.

They would hang on to defeat North Murray for the first time since 2012. LFO will host a playoff game for the first time since 2004.

The Warriors will play for a region title next week on the road at Calhoun.

North Murray will look to lock up a playoff spot on the road at Sonoraville.
