TUNNEL HILL, Ga. - Ridgeland and NW Whitfield met tonight in Bruin Country with huge AAAA-Region6 implications on the line. The Panthers coming in with a 1-0 region record, the Bruins have yet to play a region game.

NW Whitfield marched down the field on their opening drive to take a 7-0 lead early. They wouldn't score again until the second half, cutting the Ridgeland lead to seven.

Then a mishandled punt by the Panthers set up NW Whitfield at the doorstep for the tying score. They would get the touchdown, but miss the extra point.

Ridgeland added to their now one point lead to go up 28-20 late in the half. A Panthers interception would seal the game.

The Panthers escape with a 35-20 AAAA-Region 6 win on the road against NW Whitfield.

They'll take on Cross Keys at home next Friday. The Bruins will go on the road for their second region game against LaFayette.
