Good afternoon Tennessee Valley,

It looks hot and dry with a mostly sunny sky today.  A northeast wind of 5-12 mph will help a tad, while the heat index will climb to 92-95 again today. Saturday will bring more sunshine, especially to those from I-75 and west, and a few more clouds further east, especially Saturday evening. I've added in a 10% pop for Saturday evening to include the Blue Ridge Mtns as the outer bands of Florence begin to creep into Fannin, Gilmer, (GA), and Cherokee (NC) counties tomorrow night.

The breeze will pick up on Saturday with a northeast wind of 10-15 mph. Most of the Tennessee Valley will be dry, making a great weekend to get out and head to local festivals.

Sunday will be pleasant temperatures wise, but the winds will begin gusting to 20 mph in the afternoon from the northeast. Highs on Sunday may only top near 80-83. Those in the higher elevations could see winds gust of 30-40 mph like Lookout Mountain, and especially east towards Blue Ridge and Murphy. Showers will be possible from Florence during the day, especially east of I-75, increasing in the evening on Sunday night towards Chattanooga.

We'll likely have scattered showers ongoing on Monday, with a small rain chance on Tuesday.

At this time, the middle of the week looks dry. We'll need to watch for another front arriving by weeks end Friday-Saturday that could bring more rain and thunderstorms.
