UPDATE: All lanes of Highway 27 in Walker County have reopened.

A semi turned over at North Longhollow Road, forcing the Georgia State Patrol to close a portion Highway 27.

Hazmat crews were called in to clean up the fuel that leaked from the tractor-trailer.

The name and condition of the driver have not been released.

The crash investigation is ongoing.

PREVIOUS STORY: Walker County officials are working to clean up a fuel spill from a tractor trailer that turned over on Highway 27 at North Longhollow Road on Monday.

The Georgia State Patrol tells Channel 3, all northbound lanes of Highway 27 are closed until State Line Road.

The semi started leaking fuel as a result of the crash.

Hazmat crews were called to the scene to clean up the fuel.

The GSP says crews are working to remove the semi and reopen all affected lanes.

No time frame for when the lanes will reopen was given.

The name and condition of the driver are unknown at this time.
