UPDATE:  A teen was successfully rescued Sunday by helicopter after a 50-foot fall at a popular outdoor spot.

The girl was rescued from a difficult position and needed medical care, according to rescue crews. First responders from 11 emergency response agencies worked to make the rescue successful.

The patient, a minor, was airlifted by Tennessee Highway Patrol Helicopter to Erlanger Medical Trauma Center for examination and treatment. The victim was said to be alert and responsive when transported.

The girl fell around 50 feet. Amy Maxwell with Hamilton County Emergency Services told Channel 3 the girl is alive and conscious.

The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
