Good Morning Tennessee Valley,

Since Monday, Chattanooga has picked up 2" of rain. It's less likely for showers in the Scenic City today, meanwhile rain looks to continue across the Blue Ridge and Murphy areas this morning through 10AM-11AM EDT. Clouds will be thinning out late morning for many west of I-75. Areas east of I-75 will continue to have more cloud cover during the day. Therefore, due to more sunshine west, temperatures should bump to the low to middle 80s this afternoon. Those further east, it's likely temperatures will remain in the middle to upper 70s through the afternoon hours.

There will be isolated showers returning in the afternoon, beginning about 1-2 PM EDT, ending near 7 PM-8 PM EDT. These once again, will be limited to mostly east of I-75.

The weekend won't be a wash out, but there is a better rain chance Sunday. Watch for showers on Saturday developing about 2-3 PM EDT, ending near 5-6PM EDT. Showers tomorrow shouldn't be long lived. Heading into Sunday, a rain chance looks to increase earlier in the day about 7 AM-9 AM. Areas west of I-75 will have the best chance for rain, in the morning hours. We'll need to watch for showers on and off on Sunday through 9 PM on Sunday night.
