Good Morning Tennessee Valley!

Rain will be increasing for the morning commute for those in north Georgia. Rain looks to increase into Chattanooga by 7AM-9AM. Allow extra time to get where you're going, as roads will be slippery. On top of the 0.59" of rainfall we picked up in the Scenic City on Wednesday, we'll likely get another 0.25" to 0.50" today. Those that live east of I-75 will see additional rainfall amounts of 1" to 2.5", with those in northern Cherokee County, possibly getting locally higher amounts of 3" by this evening. It looks like we'll have another day with highs in the mid to upper 70s, feeling more like late September and early October!

Newest data shows Friday's rain chance still there, but not as widespread, limited to Bradley County and those near Murray, Fannin, Gilmer (GA) and eastward. I've lowered the pop just slightly for Friday's rain chance to 40%. It also looks like Saturday may be the best day for the Longest Yard Sale now! Rain may stay mostly east of US 127, while isolated showers over the highway can't be ruled out during the day-it won't be an all day rain event.
