Two GA store owners arrested for possession, selling marijuana
Agents with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force have been investigating reports that number of convenience stores were selling marijuana.
Store owners Risilkumar Patel and Tanjot Bajwa were arrested July 31. Patel was booked into the Chattooga County Jail; Bajwa was booked into Catoosa County Jail.
The illegal substances were packaged with misleading labels indicating the contents were “Legal in all Fifty States”, contained “CBD”, and had been “Lab Tested”.
Both have been charged with felony possession (over one ounce) of marijuana and felony intent to distribute.
Additional warrants are pending and more arrested could be made.
