An employee at Lake Winnepesaukah was injured and taken to a hospital on Tuesday.

Don Allen, spokesperson for the State Fire Marshal’s Office, says the employee was helping a child who pinched their finger get off the Matterhorn when another worker restarted the ride before the employee was finished.

The injured employee received scrapes and bruises.

Allen says the incident appears to be caused by operator error.

The Fire Marshal’s Office will be at the park to investigate on Wednesday.

The child with the pinched finger is okay.
