Hamilton Co. inmate assaults officers with shank
A Hamilton County inmate has been charged with aggravated assault after he attacked officers.
Antwon D. Lee used a shank during the attack, the arrest affidavit explained.
One officer was cut on the hand. Lee punched another, who had a red mark on her chest from being hit. Lee also hit an additional officer several times, leaving her with a knot on the side of her head.
The report explained that Lee was responsible for breaking a microwave. Lee pulled a shank from his pants when officers ordered him to submit to restraints.
Officers used mace in an attempt to gain control of Lee, but he continued trying to strike officers with the shank.
Lee was finally restrained and taken to segregation.
Lee's bond has been set at $30,000 for the aggravated assault charge.
