A school bus was stopped by heavy smoke while traveling on Highway 27 Monday evening.

It happened shortly after 5:00 p.m. near the Morrison Springs Road exit.

Hamilton County schools spokesman Tim Hensley says a contracted driver blew a turbo, which caused a lot of smoke but no fire.

Hensley says no one besides the driver was on the bus.

No one was injured.
