Investigators say a fire at a home in Chattooga County on Wednesday has been ruled arson.

It happened around 1:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of Airport Road in Trion.

State Fire Marshal's Office spokesman Glenn Allen says investigators determined that a "flammable object" was thrown through a window of the mobile home.

The fire started in a bedroom and a second fire started underneath the home, causing heavy damage.

No one was home when the fire started.

Glenn says rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.
