Dog helps Chattanooga police catch suspected thief
Every dog has its day. One in Chattanooga certainly did after police said she helped catch a suspected thief.
The dog’s constant barking alerted her owner to a suspicious man in their yard on Chamberlain Avenue on Friday.
An arrest report states that the man living at the home found Kouto Coleman standing by several cars outside the garage with a city of Chattanooga trashcan that had multiple car batteries in it.
When officers arrived, they also found what they called "burglary tools" and two women's watches inside the garbage can.
Coleman faces several charges including theft of property and possession of burglary tools.
