UPDATE:  Chattanooga police have made an identification of the man's body found Saturday along SR-153.

The body of Jeffery Randall Harris, 51, was on the grass median side of a concrete barrier and out of view of passing vehicles.

The Chattanooga Police Department encourages any witnesses or others who may have information regarding this incident to call (423) 698-2525 or submit a tip using the Chattanooga PD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

PREVIOUS STORY: A body was found in the 300 block of Highway 153 southbound Saturday afternoon.

Chattanooga Police said the man's body was located on the grass median side of a concrete barrier. The body was out of view of passing vehicles.

Investigators said the man was possibly struck by a vehicle.
